Bernard Kyer (writer, "Enuma Elis")

Picture
Bernard's first real introduction to science fiction began in what would be a life long fascination with the film Jurassic Park. Every aspect of the film intrigued him leading to an interest in film, music, and writing. Bernard studied Viola and Violin as well as teaching himself music composition. Though he expresses himself both as a writer of stories and of music, his main focus has been on film scores. Star Wars, Star Trek: Voyager, and Battlestar Galactica have all been of great interest along with his favourite writer, Michael Crichton. His favourite films include A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Star Wars: Episode I, Twister, Jurassic Park, and Gone With the Wind. His favourite television shows are Battlestar Galactica (Reimagined), CAPRICA, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: The Next Generation, X-Files, and all cartoons. He is also Beginning of Line's resident composer.

D. Shipway (writer, "Assassin Nation")

Picture
_D Shipway is composed of 70% water. The rest is a mixture of film snobbery and TV nerditude, but mostly #GeekDadPride. He hasn’t been writing enough on FLIMgeeks.com for a very long time (eons in Internets years) and is working on the next stack of papers he calls a novel. He resides in Canada with his wife and twin sons (‘The Monsters’) when not vacationing in intergalactic, pan-dimensional, modal realities.

Vicki (aka thecleric007)
(writer, "Fallen Angel")

Picture
_Vicki is 26 and lives in Ottawa.  She has been writing fan fiction for many years, most of which can be found at FanFiction.Net.  She is an avid fan of science fiction, in particular Battlestar Galactica and it's sister show, Caprica (as well as Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and other classics).

Vikki Bingham
(writer, "Children Through the Cracks")

Picture
_A 21 year old criminology student from the UK whose favourite things include reading, writing, television and films (especially sci-fi), drinking coffee,  and her bed. Also worships at the altar of Joss Whedon, Jane Espenson, Gene Roddenberry, J.K Rowling and countless others.

Robson Lima
(writer, "Climbing Mountains")

Picture
Some say Robson is the real life inspiration for the character of Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory. Others, that he fled from one of Asimov's robot novels. But he's already broken the 3 Laws. The current theory is that he might be a Cylon. Robson is a grad student from Brazil, and is studying Social Sciences. He also studies cyberculture, religion and other stuff. He has a Twitter and uses it a lot.

Lotte Somerset
(writer, "Those Who Live and Die For the Game")

Picture
Lotte Somerset is a student and unprolific fan fiction writer. She
enjoys writing and posing inappropriately with modern art.  She maintains an
infrequently updated Twitter account
.

Ryan Lawrence
(writer/artist, "Punishment")

Picture
Ryan Lawrence is owner of The Caprica Times. The Caprica Times was founded on February 17, 2009 to cover all things Caprica. He's a little bit stubborn Daniel, a little bit bratty Zoe, a little bit obsessive Joseph, a little bit defiant Lacy, a little bit brutal Sam, a little bit devious Clarice, and a heap of whiny Amanda.

Teresa Jusino
(Writer, "Safe Journey")

Picture
Teresa Jusino was born on the same day that Skylab fell. Coincidence? She doesn’t think so. Her “feminist brown person” take on pop culture has been featured on websites like ChinaShopMag.com, Tor.com, PinkRaygun.com, Newsarama, and PopMatters.com. Her fiction has appeared in the sci‐fi literary magazine, Crossed Genres, and her essay “Why Joss is More Important Than His ‘Verse” is included in the book WHEDONISTAS: A Celebration of the Worlds of Joss Whedon By the Women Who Love Them! Get Twitterpated with Teresa, or visit her at The Teresa Jusino Experience. She also edits Beginning of Line.

Jordan Cannady
(Writer/Director, Cylon 7)

Picture
Jordan is a lifelong fan of science fiction films, shows, and books. One of his earliest memories is watching a taped copy of Empire Strikes Back. He is also the founder of Geek O Rage, a blog and podcast. Both of which deal with everything a geek could care about, from complaining about movies and canceled shows to complaining about what George Lucas is doing to our childhoods. There may also be movie reviews of some sort. He is also a known associate of Cardboard Cylon, the future robot ruler of the human race. The two are considered to be not armed and mostly harmless.

Rhesa Sealy
(writer, "Vengeance is Mine")

Picture
Rhesa is a 29 year old bona fide geek/fangirl living in Ontario, Canada. She has  a BA in English, a certificate in publishing and loves writing. She's obsessed with Batman and I has a fast-growing collection to prove it. She's also a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan. She fell in love with BSG and then fell harder in love for Caprica and is still shock from its cancellation. She hopes to one day to write something worth publishing and becoming another worthy addition to the science fiction community.

Radak (artist, "Enuma Elis")

Picture
Radak is a 27-year-old fan artist from Russia. In addition to Caprica, she loves BSG, Babylon 5, and Star Trek: Voyager. Radak has a huge amount of fan art for a wide variety of shows over at her LJ, which you should definitely check out.

Dóra Kecskés (artist, Capri-Tours ad)

Picture
Dora is a 21-year-old Caprica fan from Szeged, Hungary.
Yes, that is her shoe. :) Pretty much describes who she is, as she loves discovering the footprints of others who went before her as well as leaving her own on the long road.

Her first sci-fi memory is  a quartet of names: John
Sheridan - Delenn - Kosh - Londo. That was pretty much what she remembered about Babylon 5. It took her over a decade to rediscover the series, with RDM's Battlestar Galactica soon
following. I also like Star Trek (particularly TNG) and Star Wars. Concerning the latter, she was involved in writing a story with friends a couple of years ago, the thing that ultimately set her on her path, making her interested in writing - both
for entertainment and to become speech-writer.

She's an avid fan of self-expression. She enjoys reading, writing, and listening to music. She can play the piano but her life-long dream has to do with learning how to play the guitar
(still on her "to do" list!). Among her favorite artists - there's a lot so she won't bother listing them all because it would
sound eerily like an Oscar-speech - you can find people from all over the world: Henning Mankell, J.R.R. Tolkien, JK Rowling, Bear McCreary, John Williams, Yo-Yo Ma, Bujdosó-Vajdovich-Németh trio, Bjørn Berge, Åge Aleksandersen, Gunnar Pedersen...

Otherwise she is studying political science in her hometown's university --- with a semester spent abroad at the University of Tromsø in the northern part of Norway. For pictures, see the Capri-Tours / Picon ad and you'll kind of get an idea of why she wants to go back there – and NOT just as a tourist!

Abby Geiger
(artist, "Fallen Angel")

Picture
Abby Geiger has been a sci‐fi fan ever since being both fascinated and a little creeped out by the Horta on Star Trek. Later, the movies Silent Running and Westworld cemented the interest, and at the age of twelve she first combined her love of sci‐fi and art by selling her drawings of Star Wars characters to kids on the school bus.
When she's not drawing, she dabbles in writing and is attempting to finish a sci‐fi novel that began as a lark but has since turned into a monstrous pterodactyl that demands an ending. She also writes piano compositions, which take a lot less time to complete.
In her rare moments of free time she is a contributor for two unofficial Eric Stoltz fan sites - Eric Stoltz: A Tribute by a Fan and the Eric Stoltz Fans United Facebook page.

Tray "JediTray" Chester
(Screencap, "Children Through the Cracks")

Picture
JediTray is a 38 year old sci-fi aficionado from Houston who currently resides in Cypress, TX.  In addition to collecting toys and models and loving science fiction, computers, technology, graphics, movies, and Star Wars, he's also a drummer! Check out the musical/sci-fi love going on in this picture!

Janice Orlando
(artist, Kossler Geminom Vodka ad)

Picture
Janice (that's pronounced juh-neece) is a 27-year-old Caprica fan from Houston, TX. When she's not pursuing her PhD in anthropology at Rice University, she moderates both the Unofficial and the Official Sasha Roiz fan pages on Facebook. She also sold human cyborgs on the black market with a Russian accent long before cylons were cool.

Elizabeth C. Louvaris
(artist, "Purpose")

Picture
Elizabeth C. Louvaris grew up just outside Montreal, Quebec; the youngest in a family of 7 kids. With some small influence from her 6 brothers, she found herself entertained by a variety of BBC programs, including Doctor Who and Survivors, as well as a number of Jim Henson productions, and various literary works by R.A. Heinlein, H.G. Wells, and of course J.R.R. Tolkien. From grade school on, reading, writing, and drawing were her passions (although her teachers were not always as enthusiastic about her dragons and monsters...)
Now at the age of 30 having done the odd job here and there for friends at frontier-games.com (for their sci-fi based RPG) and a few odd comissions here and there, she still gets the rare occasion to sit and read, or sketch... when she's not chasing or cleaning up after her little girl that is! Sometimes she even gets the chance to watch some TV or even sleep too!

Heather Carpenter
(artist, "Safe Journey")

Picture
Heather is a visual artist and actress  based in Fairfield, CA. She has bounced between coasts to pursue her art, having lived in NYC for several years before returning to the Bay Area, of which she is a native. Heather is a huge fan of Terry Prachett, and while she has always enjoyed sci-fi literature, is a budding fan of sci-fi/fantasy television - and a big Caprica fan -  due to the bad influence of Your Guatrau.  She continues to work on her paintings and is developing a performance piece she hopes stage soon. And as you can see from this photo, she has hilarious taste in t-shirts.

Juanita Martinez
(writer, "Prototype")

Picture
Juanita is a 38 year old lifelong sci-fi fan and art lover. She has enjoyed drawing and painting since she was a child, and she now captures southwestern landscapes in acrylics and with digital photography. As she has a keen interest in virtual 3D worlds and graphic arts, she freelances for small companies and educators in Second Life. She is proud to call herself a Trekkie, is a faithful BSG fan, and is currently the moderator of "Fans of Caprica", a Facebook fan page. A Ph.D. in molecular biology, her day job involves genome-wide genotyping study subjects examining various behaviors and mental illnesses.

Pema Newton
(Writer, "Are You Alive?")

Picture
Pema Newton reckons canceling Caprica was a crime - and crime is something Pema knows a bit about. She spent 13 years as a police detective in Sydney, Australia, thinking about crime and criminals and cops. Eventually, a job that involved meeting people for the first time on the worst day of their lives got her down, so she went to Africa and listened to some music and then to India and listened to some monks until she felt better.
Last year her first novel - The Old School - was published by Penguin. It’s set in Sydney and it’s about crime. When Pema isn’t thinking about crime, she thinks a lot about Sci-Fi. She suspects she has a Verse inside.
